Howdy, I'm Jacob Densford
A full-stack web developer (and occasional game designer and professional dungeon master) from the foothills of Appalachia (Lynchburg, VA). I build open-source, self-hostable applications for the independent web using the PERN stack and Linux-based deployments. My background in collaborative storytelling and systems design shapes how I build software.

A Good Blog
Full-Stack Web App
A full-stack blogging platform for the independent web that enables personal content ownership for individual bloggers, small communities, and independent publications. It includes two separate frontends—one for reading, another for admin—and a RESTful API backend, built using PostgreSQL, Express, React, and Node.js.
-
The Good Web
Front End Web App
An introduction to the independent web, a guide to becoming part of it, and a feed reader with a collection of feeds to get started, with a responsive, accessible, mobile-friendly static interface using only HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript.
-
Good Web Search
Browser Extension
An extension for Firefox and Chromium-based browsers that automatically adjusts search parameters to surface more useful results and makes search engines behave more like they used to in the "good ol' days" of the web by reducing AI-generated clutter and enabling hidden search options.
